Holy Name...You Rock

So...Friday night I performed for Holy Name High School then I had some other shows throughout the weekend. I have to be honest, I thought Holy Name would be one of those shows where I go in, perform, and then have that show blend in with the rest of the 250+ shows a year that I do. BUT, Holy Name is def and a place I will never forget. Everyone there was so eager to see the show, and all of the work was done by a small handful of students. Well... these five or six guys didn't disappoint as the auditorium was packed for the show and the stage was overflowing with volunteers.

I started of doing my mind reading amazed everyone with that. Then we moved into the hypnosis. All of the volunteers were so eager, composed of both students and teachers, all of the skits brought the house down as people belly danced, sang like Brittney Spears, thought I had disappeared, etc. It resulted in a standing ovation. However, I want to thank three people who stood out in my mind for planning the show...

Brandon
Tom
Will

Thank you and everyone else who helped plan and set up for the show. And also, thank you for putting on a hilarious introduction with a gorilla suit, haha. I look forward to performing for Holy Name again next year, and thank you Brandon for booking me again. I am glad that you guys made a good profit from it cuz u all deserved it!

Here are some pics from this show.

Smaller shows can be great fun

It has been quite a while since I have done a smaller show. Usually I do larger shows with over 200 people. However, when I was asked to do a show for a birthday party, 35 people or so, it went off without a hitch. It was great to perform in a more intimate setting again. It was in a club house type building and I just hypnotized people in the audience and then brought six people up in the front of the room. They became belly dancers, orchestra conductors, piano players, richard simmons, etc. Everyone in the room left with tears rolling down their face from laughing so hard.

I also did my mind reading segment before we got in the hypnosis. People thought of questions and concentrated on them. I then told them what question they were thinking of and the answer to the question. It was great fun and sometimes even amazes me. And we now know that Crystal's dad will be getting her a yellow lab in June hahahaha.

If it wasn't for the great audience and the volunteers, I wouldn't have a show. They all did a wonderful job and they are the TRUE stars of the show. Great job guys, you made this night one to remember for all of the attendees!

I didn't expect that...

So a few weeks ago I performed in a high school theater for a fundraiser. The stage was very large and afterward I discovered that David Copperfield performed on that same stage about 12 years ago. This made me feel privileged that I got the opportunity to perform on the same stage as David Copperfield. However, the enjoyment did not end there.

Truthfully, I didn't think that show was the best, because for some reason I did not feel well before the performance and I think it threw me off a little. Although I thought it could have gone better, 13 people still got hypnotized, they went out like a light, and EVERYONE raved about it. They had also said that they had another hypnotist last year and they liked my show much better because I seemed to have more fun and interacted and connected with the crowd more. Usually, for every show I do I get about two or three calls from it...

So, the school made over $1000.00, they were happy, I was happy. The next day I got a phone call from one of the people who booked my show for the previous night. Not only did they book another show for next year already, but to my amazement, TEN other schools called me within the next two days just from hearing about the show that went on at this school. This goes to show, that even though you think some things may not go as planned, no one else will know except for you. I look forward to performing for those 10 other schools this year. With only about three months left in the school year, it is going to be a busy season.
